How to Learn the ICF PCC Markers

32 Fun Activities to Get You Started

The PCC Markers are a set of behaviors that are used to measure coaching skills during performance evaluations for PCC credentials. They also form the basis of curriculum that is taught in many coaching schools.

Are you looking to anchor your knowledge and improve your recall?

This resource will help!

It’s important to learn the PCC Markers because that’s how your coaching will be evaluated.

Perhaps you picked up this program because you are getting ready to write the ICF Credentialing Exam. Maybe you are ready to apply for your PCC credential and you are recording your coaching sessions for submission. Maybe you are just leveling-up your coaching skills or working with a mentor coach.

It can feel somewhat daunting when you see a competency model for the first time. But if you approach it systematically your learning will stick. After all, when you commit to becoming an ICF credentialed coach, the ICF Core Competencies will be seamlessly integrated into every coaching conversation that you have.

Let's Get the Ball Rolling!

Using many years of experience in learning and in coaching, I have created this resource to help you grow as a coach. The activities will deepen your learning and reinforce your understanding of the ICF Core Competencies and PCC Markers in an engaging way. No matter what your preferred style of learning.

Research shows that engaging in pencil and paper activities helps people learn and remember information. Studies comparing recall and recognition have found that memory is better for words when they are written down rather than typed. It has also been found that memory, visual imagery, and recall were stronger when using a paper notebook rather than electronic devices.

To capitalize on the possibility of this higher brain engagement I have worked with my team to create a variety of activities in this resource to help you learn and recall the knowledge related to the PCC Markers.

To learn something, retain it and implement it well, it can be very helpful to see and interact with the information many times, in a variety of ways. The goal of this resource is to give you options for doing exactly that.
